As if a car accident wasn’t bad enough, E! News now reports Kendra Wilkinson had a stroke after the minor collision last April.

One source explained follow-up CT scans revealed Kendra, who was just 27 at the time, suffered a “minor stroke” during the crash.

“They told her to take it easy and chill out for a couple of weeks, but she is fine,” the source said of Kendra, was initially taken to the hospital for observation. Fortunately, she had withdrawn from celebrity diving show Splash just before the accident, so she was able to enjoy a full rehabilitation.

Although she made a quick physical recovery, Kendra recently hinted on Twitter that she was very emotionally affected — and that will be a big focus during the upcoming episode of Kendra On Top.

Suffering a stroke likely made Kendra more aware of her own mortality — which is scary for anyone, let alone for a young mom. Thankfully, there are certain measures she can take to reduce the likelihood of additional strokes. According to WebMD, these suggestions include ceasing smoking, limiting alcohol consumption, staying physically active and eating healthy foods.
