TMZ is reporting that Lindsay Lohan was rushed to the emergency room at Mt. Sinai in New York City last night for what sources claim is a bad lung infection. Over the last two weeks Lohan had been telling friends she was dealing with a bad case of “walking pneumonia,” and when things took a turn for the worse last night, she felt it was in her best interest to seek medical care. Lohan was treated at the hospital, prescribed antibiotics, and sent back to her hotel room where she is currently resting.
The incident is Lindsay’s second headline-grabbing medical emergency of the summer. Back in June, the 26-year-old actress was allegedly found unresponsive at her hotel room and paramedics were called to the scene. However, it was later confirmed that she had simply been sleeping after a long night of filming, and she was not transported to a hospital.
Lohan had been a bit quieter earlier in the year, but now that she’s done filming Liz & Dick, she seems to be back to her old ways. Just last week, Lohan reportedly hit a pedestrian which led to her arrest. Oddly enough, the car she was driving belonged to one of the new Real Housewives of Miami stars — and that wasn’t her only car accident this summer. Oh, and one more for good measure.
Perhaps she’s just trying to dethrone the raining Hot Mess of the Year, Amanda Bynes.
