Last are a group of photographs of the Bhagdari village that is home to this Bedia community in Rajashthan.
These immensely powerful images convey the dignity of these unfortunate human souls. Sanjana and Priya look to be prematurely aged and hardened by their suffering, but they have a brightness that suggests their spirits haven’t been broken. I am hopeful that they’re able to somehow break away from this inhumane situation, and I commend the efforts of people and organizations like ECPAT.
