Rachel McCord Has “Tired” Legs Syndrome

The Zara Terez west coast launch was held at the Sky Bar, Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, California on August 11th, 2009. The New York handbag designer’s event was a benefit to raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and featured other celebrities such as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody‘s Rachel Song and CSI Miami‘s Eva LaRue.

Also in attendance were AnnaLynne McCord’s sisters Angel and Rachel. I know none of this is A-List news, but the photo of Rachel jumped out at me and I just had to do a post. (I confess there was googling involved to find out if she was famous for something other than her sister. Nope.) What really struck my fancy were those patterned stockings decorating her gams! I had flashbacks to those Goodyear Aquatread tire commercials, and I imagined Rachel’s legs channeling gallons of water to the sides… (Should I be embarrassed that I liked that?) Here’s the photo:

I think there could be a market for tire-themed leggings! Tell me some good ol’ boy awkwardly shopping through Victoria’s Secret on February 13th wouldn’t automatically get something from the Firestone display?

– Quick sidenote. Here are some other things that jumped out at me about this photo: Yeah, yeah – this isn’t an A-list event, but couldn’t you mop the floor? What’s that blue card poking out from under the backdrop? Is that purse designed by this “Zara Terez” woman? It looks like a Trapper Keeper, and not even one of the cool ones with a frog or kitten. What’s up with that Criss Angel illusionist necklace? It’s there, and then it’s not there, and then it’s there again! Hmmm…that’s a lot of negativity. Let me say something nice – Rachel, whoever you are, you are an attractive woman – especially in tire tread stockings!

Let’s try out the look on a fashion-forward A-lister:

See there! Looks great! Now her legs match the tread marks on her arms! I’m telling you, this is a million dollar idea. Any venture capitalists out there? How ’bout you Rachel? You’re not doing anything else – wanna start “Tread On Me” women’s apparel? We won’t even need to hire a model!

If you’d like to try this at home, here’s the pattern:
