PHOTOS Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry visits Jersey Shore

In what sounds like an MTV crossover event, Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry headed to Seaside Heights, New Jersey today for some fun and sun with her friend Kim. Sadly, the guys and gals of Jersey Shore weren’t patrolling their home turf as they were thousands of miles away filming Season 4 of their show in Florence, Italy.

Perhaps it’s better because Lord knows the last thing a single mom needs to do is get caught up with the Jersey Shore gang in Seaside Heights on a Saturday night!

As a matter of fact, Kailyn managed to hook up with the complete opposite crowd in the form of Jordan Burnham (above), a 19-year-old from King of Prussia, Philadelphia who attempted suicide by jumping out of his 9th-floor bedroom window in September of 2008. As you may have guessed, Jordan miraculously survived the fall and now does speaking engagements in which he talks about depression and suicide. (He also ran a blog called “Life After the Fall,” but he hasn’t updated it since January of 2010.)

It must have been great for Kail to meet Jordan because she was in such a stressful situation for so long that I’m sure she wrestled with bouts of frustration, hopelessness and depression. Plus, getting to talk to someone with experience talking to groups of young people is ideal because Kailyn is just about to start doing speaking engagements herself!

According to her website, Kailyn was expecting to have to work, so the brief vacay was even more sweet! It’s the second Teen Mom 2 star we’ve gotten to see enjoy a beach vacation in the last couple weeks after Leah Messer took her daughters down to Florida for what appeared to be an incredibly fun (and much-needed) holiday. (Jenelle actually lives at the beach, although she’s currently in rehab in Malibu, California. So I guess she’s currently on some sort of reverse vacation.)

Anyways, you know I couldn’t resist doing a Photoshop mash-up of this one! So, for this is for Kail and Jordan!
