PHOTOS Kim Kardashian in a mermaid Halloween costume

This time of year is always so fun and exciting! We get to see little kids dressed in wonderfully imaginative costumes going door-to-door in a rare instance of real community amongst neighbors who are complete strangers the rest of the calendar year Kim Kardashian wrapping her otherworldly figure in yet another eye-popping, super-sexy Halloween costume!

Last week we got to see her try on a see-through leopard suit, but apparently that was just a tease because the 32-year-old starlet revealed her first actual costume of the 2012 Halloween season at the Midori Halloween party New York City last night! Instead of a furry four-legged feline, Kim arrived as a fine finned flashy fish! I present to you Kim Kardashian as a mermaid! Actually, make that a blonde Kim Kardashian as a mermaid!

Can you say “Kim KarSPLASHian?!?”

In addition to the sparkly emerald green tail, Kim wore a jewel encrusted white top complete with shells as well as numerous pearl necklaces.

And alongside mermaid Kim was her “captain” Kanye West:

On an interesting side note, this isn’t the first time we have seen a Kardashian in a mermaid costume. A number of years ago we got to see a seemingly topless Khloe Kardashian decked out in fins as part of a photo shoot. As part of that post we tried to project what Kim Kardashian would look like as a mermaid with a very intricate pen and ink drawing on notebook paper. Here’s the result:

Sort of pretty close, huh? Well, not really. We couldn’t have guessed the blonde hair maneuver.
