During a Monday ceremony, singer Cher Lloyd ensured a lifetime of lovely tresses by marrying hairdresser Craig Monk. She revealed the wedding on Wednesday by posting the top picture and caption “18/11/2013.” She later tweeted her appreciation for well-wishes.
Cher is best known in the United States for “Want U Back,” which rose to No. 3 on the pop charts in 2012. The England native gained fame in her home country by finishing fourth on 2010-2011 season of The X Factor.
Cher and her new husband got engaged in early 2012 after dating for less than one year.
“I’m engaged and want to get married as soon as possible. I can’t wait,” she told Daily Mirror in April 2012. “I love Craig and he makes me happy. I know I am going to spend the rest of my life with him.”
Although 20-year-old Cher acknowledged she was getting married young, she told Daily Mirror in 2012 she didn’t have doubts about making Craig her husband.
“People are negative no matter what you do. People are always going to say, ‘She’s too young!’ I’m from a Gypsy background! I’m meant to be married by now,” she said. “I’m happy, really happy. I love him to pieces, more than anything in the world, but I don’t want people to take that away from me. I know I’ve got my whole life ahead of me, but why not get hitched now?”
