The estate of Michael Jackson and Epic Records announced today that they will be releasing Xscape, an 8 song collection of previously unreleased tracks from the late King of Pop.
Label CEO L.A. Reid said of the project set for a May 13 release:
“Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”
The lead producer is Timbaland, with assistance from Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain.
Along with the standard release there will also be a deluxe edition that will include the source recordings in their original form. Both will be available for pre-order tomorrow.
