Lamar Odom updates: Family preparing for goodbye as Khloe Kardshian makes medical decisions
Lamar Odom remains in critical condition in a Las Vegas hospital as estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, her family, his two children and more gather around. Sadly, insiders say the group is preparing to say goodbye to the former NBA star who reportedly hasn’t significantly improved since he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday afternoon. Rather, he has suffered at least one stroke at the hospital and has multiple failing organs.
“They’re pretty sure this is goodbye, but they’re praying for a miracle,” an insider told People on Wednesday. “They know that God has the power to heal him, but that’s really the last hope at this point. This is really bad.” Among those keeping vigil at Lamar’s bedside are Khloe, Lamar’s first wife, his two children and his dad. Another source told Us Weekly Khloe flew in Lamar’s other family members “so that they could be with him during this difficult time.”

Even though the owner of the Love Ranch, where Lamar was found, initially denied Lamar used any drugs in the days before his medical emergency, the 911 call released by the Nye County Sheriff on Wednesday told a different story: The caller, since identified as the media director for the brothel, said Lamar admitted he used cocaine on Saturday before entering the brothel. The caller also said Lamar had “taken a bunch” of herbal sex enhancement pills. The FDA now warns those Viagra-like pills are extremely dangerous because they can significantly lower blood pressure. Upon his admission to the hospital, insiders said doctors determined Lamar had cocaine and opiates in his system. His condition is being treated as an overdose and Khloe is making medical decisions for Lamar because they are not legally divorced.
While Lamar continues to fight for his life with an estimated 50 percent chance of survival, his family, friends and admirers are asking for prayers on social media…

What most people don't realize about Lamar Odom is that he's a better person than he is a basketball player.
