TLC is testing out a new show concept with a special called Crown Chasers about middle-age pageant queens. Move over Toddlers and Tiaras!

40-something Jocelyn Morrow is a mom of three who says she can’t shake the pageant bug because she never got over her obsession with Barbie.

“I grew up as part of the Barbie culture,” she told OK Magazine. “I was obsessed with Barbie—she was the ideal of beauty to me when I was a little girl and I think I never grew out of that!”

But that obsession with Barbie has led to an obsession with her body. “The first thing I do in the morning is weigh myself,” Jocelyn tells the magazine “I’m constantly worried I’m too fat, I’m not pretty enough, I’m not good enough—it’s a lifelong struggle.”

During her teaser clip for the show, Jocelyn says she’s struggled with low self-esteem her whole life, but what’s really thrown a wrench in her life is going through menopause. Jocelyn wants to use her television fame to help educate women about menopause, something that she says no one talked to her about.

“The change of life wasn’t talked about at all when I was young. It began for me when I was 44—I started sweating, hyperventilating, couldn’t sleep…it hit me like a train!

“My hormones were whacked out, I was loopy, angry, depressed, I started gaining weight… I separated from my husband as he said it was more than he could deal with, that he needed some time out.

“It’s been a devastating and traumatic experience for me and I would like to help educate women more on menopause—there’s not enough information out there… women still don’t understand all hell may break loose… I want to let them know ‘you are not alone.’”

She breaks into tears on camera as admits what a toll menopause has taken on her marriage. She is also seen giving her a tearful self-motivating pep talk in front of a mirror: “I am feeling and thinking that I am the best I have ever been. I am stronger, I am smarter, I am wiser and I want my kids to see and know that their mom is a winner. And if I cry then they’ll just know I’m real even though I have fake boobs and fake teeth. I can do it.”

Here are some of the best quotes from the trailer (video below:)

Jonella, as she tearfully says “I dream of that moment when the crown’s on my head, and know that all the times I’m not eating, all of the cardio, will be so worth it?”

Jennifer: “I just have to get through this weekend, and win this pageant, and show all the people that I don’t like that I’m better than they are.
