Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Will Smith have one of the longest running marriages in Hollywood, but recently there have been rumors that Will has been unfaithful as well as reports that the two have an open marriage. Over the weekend, Jada took to social media where she addressed the ongoing rumors.

“Open marriage? Let me first say this, there are far more important things to talk about in regards to what is happening in the world than whether I have an open marriage or not,” Jada wrote in a recent Facebook post. “I am addressing this issue because a very important subject has been born from discussions about my statement that may be worthy of addressing. The statement I made in regard to, ‘Will can do whatever he wants,’ has illuminated the need to discuss the relationship between trust and love and how they co-exist.”

Earlier this month, Jada attempted to dispel the persistent rumors surrounding her marriage, but unfortunately it only added fuel to the fire. While Jada said “no” in regards to the direct question of if they had an open marriage, she also said, “I’ve always told Will: You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay. I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man.”

In her Facebook post, Jada went on to ask fans several questions about what love is. “Do we believe loving someone means owning them?” she asked, “Do we believe that ownership is the reason someone should ‘behave’? Do we believe that all the expectations, conditions, and underlying threats of ‘you better act right or else’ keep one honest and true?”

In the end, Jada didn’t exactly put the rumors to rest, but she did reword what she had previously stated. “Here is how I will change my statement,” she wrote, “Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship…this means we have a GROWN one.”

What do you think? Do these two have an open marriage or not? Although Jada may be trying to straighten things out, her words seem to raise even more questions.
