One could argue that no one in the history of reality television has branded a better name than Kim Kardashian. Us blogger types have been known to refer to her as just Kim K and everything about the name has become associated with those curves.
Say what you will about the Kardashian mint but this family has turned reality fame into a stream of real money. So it is shocking to hear the latest reports coming from TMZ in which their sources are adamant that when Kim Kardashian ties the knot with b-baller fiancee Kris Humphries she will officially take his name and become Kim Humphries!
It’s difficult to even get my head around that one. Granted the starlet will have the word hump in her name but it just doesn’t have the same impact as the one she’s made famous. Some examples that I think are similar:
-> Lady Carl (for Gaga’s on-again off-again boyfriend Luc Carl)
-> Beyon-Z
-> Mariah Cannon
-> Penelope Bardem
-> Natalie Millepied
In an additional report this name-changin’ may be closer than you think. Kim K H could be getting married as soon as 2 months from now! So how does Kim’s mom feel about a potential name change. Well let’s just say Kris Jenner is a savy businesswoman as she told Popeater that:
“I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries … She needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is.”
While in the midst of these whirlwind Kim Kardashian reports OK has ran an article claiming that she’s pregnant! As for this last bit of “news” I’ll wait and see if it pans out. In the end though, I think that if she changed her name I’d be more surprised than if she and Kris, who by all accounts are very much in love, were expecting.
