Is Bethenny Frankel a weight loss expert too?

Bethenny Frankel finally has something to celebrate. Just weeks after announcing her separation from her husband of two years, Jason Hoppy, Bethenny is sharing in the happiness of her good friend Nick Feitel who she helped lose over 60 pounds — something she refers to as a “manformation.”

Nick, who was added as a culinary columnist on Bethenny’s website last year, tipped the scales at 225 pounds and had been seriously lacking in confidence. “I wouldn’t go shopping for clothes because I’d be like, Well, these all look bad on me,” he tells PEOPLE Magazine.

“You were sheepish. Self-loathing,” Bethenny adds. “I gave him [my book] Naturally Thin and said, You’re going to unleash your skinnygirl.” Along with her book, she introduced Nick to yoga which helped him slim down to just 159 pounds.

“When I met Nick, he wasn’t open, he hadn’t blossomed. So I’m just happy that you feel confident and happier,” Bethenny tells her friend. “You’ve evolved.”

Nick captured the hearts of reality TV fans (and food fans) when he interviewed to be an intern for Bethenny on her spin-off, Bethenny Ever After. Nick was noticably shy and seemed to be uncomfortable in his own skin — a far cry from the new photo you see of him above.
