The romantic force is strong with this one, as Star Wars creator and film magnate George Lucas has become engaged to 43-year-old investment firm president Mellody Hobson.
Hobson has a job with DreamWorks Animation and also is a financial contributor to ABC’s Good Morning America.

Lucas recently stirred up controversy among the extremely devoted followers of his Star Wars empire as they did their own striking back when news hit that he had sold Lucasfilm and the legendary Wars franchise to Disney for a cool $4.6 billion (that’s with a B).

Now that we’ve learned that Lucas is making an honest woman out of Mellody, perhaps we should give him some slack. I mean, if you’re gonna pop the question, being able to say that you just increased your security nest by billions of dollars couldn’t hurt.
