George Jefferson actor Sherman Hemsley has died
Sherman Hemsley has died today at his home in El Paso, Texas. Hemsley rose to fame as George Jefferson on The Jeffersons and also All In The Family. He later appeared in such hits as The Hughleys and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. This is a sad day in entertainment history.
Hemsley was 74. He was not married and had no children.
His cause of death is unknown. However, TMZ reports that it appears as though he died of natural causes.
