Courtland Rogers mug shot photo and warrant for alleged Jenelle Evans assault
As we reported earlier, Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ estranged husband Courtland Rogers was taken into custody earlier today in Brunswick County, North Carolina and charged with assault on a female. We now not only have Courtland’s most recent mug shot photo (above) but we’ve also obtained a copy of the warrant detailing his alleged attack!
On the arrest warrant, which was issued on January 23, Magistrate M A Bryant stated:
I, the undersigned, find that there is probable cause to believe that on or about the date of offense shown and and in the country named above the defendant named above unlawfully and willfully did assault and strike JENELLE ROGERS, a female person, by PICKING HER UP THROWING HER AGAINST THE WALL, BASHING HER HEAD ON THE WALL, PUNCHING HER IN HER HEAD, BACK, STOMACH, AND LEGS. The defendant is a male person and was at least 18 years of age when the assault and striking occurred.
UPDATE – We have since obtained copies of all four arrest warrants and have put together a timeline of all the alleged assaults with dates and descriptions of the attacks from the warrants.
Here’s a photo — click to enlarge:
On the warrant, the date of the attack is listed as November 16, 2012, which would have been before she was pregnant. It also lists March 5 as the date of arrest, which is a day earlier than what a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department spokesman revealed earlier, but would seem to jibe with Courtland’s tweet yesterday: “they.got me…brunswick.coybty jail i am.on my way…write me …sorry i got caught.”
We do not have a court date yet for Courtland, but I assume we will know more soon so stay tuned!
UPDATE – E! News has gotten some more information about Courtland’s arrest, including how he was caught. According to Pender County Sheriff Deputy Chester Ward, Courtland was detained after police recognized him when dispatched to an unrelated call in Hampstead, N.C. From E!:
“We had responded to a disturbance call but it didn’t have anything to do with him. He and some other people were there and we will check and run identification to make sure they don’t have any outstanding warrants and Mr. Rogers did,” Ward said. “He just happened to be at the residence,” Ward added. “We put him in our holding jail and processed him here and Brunswick County picked him up this morning.”
According to E! News there were multiple warrants out for Courtland from multiple incidents, including one from January 21. I would assume that one of the incidents took place while Jenelle was pregnant, because Dustin Sullivan told us on January 23 that at least one of the charges was assault on a female with an unborn child.
