Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy head to emergency custody hearing
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy were in court this morning to address the custody of their two-year-old daughter Bryn. The pair has been tangled up in a messy divorce since Bethenny first filed early this year. At the time, Bethenny vowed to make the split as amicable as possible, but as in many high-profile divorces, things quickly became tense. Today, they attended an emergency custody hearing at the request of the judge.
“Jason is complaining that Bethenny won’t let him see Bryn enough and that she’s been spending all of her time with her at her friend’s apartment and not in her own home,” the source told Radar Online. “Bethenny’s lawyer tried to handle Jason’s complaint but the judge wants both parents in court to discuss Bryn.”
According to Life & Style, Bethenny and Jason arrived to court in NYC at 9:30 am this morning. Bethenny was wearing a red skirt, white shirt and black jacket. Jason was in gray slacks and a striped tie.
Both Jason and Bethenny filed for full custody of their daughter and that’s one of the main issues they’re having in the divorce. Despite having tried for months to come to a mutual decision about how to share custody, they haven’t gotten anywhere.
Last month, Bethenny opened up about how her marriage to Jason turned her into a bad person.
“I felt like there was an expectation to be someone that I wasn’t. All the things that I’ve tried to resolve in therapy and get past from my childhood reared their ugly head in my marriage,” Bethenny revealed to People Magazine. “My marriage made me feel like I was a bad person, like I was damaged, I was dysfunctional, I was never going to be happy. But I don’t believe that to be true. Yet there I was – in a relationship that made me feel that way.”
