Coming on the heels of Spain’s victory in the world cup, two of the country’s hottest A-listers, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, have gotten married in the Bahamas.

A rep for the Hollywood power couple has confirmed with People that they said their Si Acepto earlier this month while relaxing in the Bahamas.  The two have maintained an impressive veil of secrecy over their romance with Cruz going as far as to deny that they were even an item.  Both actors have won Best Supporting Oscars, Cruz for her role in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Bardem for his wonderfully disturbing portrayal of Anton Shagur in the Coen brothers movie adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel No Country For Old Men.

The two met on the set of Jamon, Jamon way back in 1992.  They also co-starred in the previously mentioned Vicky Christina Barcelona.  Cruz wore a dress by designer and close friend John Galliano.

Here is a clip of the two Spanish superstars in Jamon,Jamon.  Bardem barges into the ladies room and forces a kiss on the very young looking Cruz:

Is it me or are these two just getting hotter the older they get? Here are Cruz and Bardem a few years later to prove my point:

Right now it’s Spain’s world and we’re just living in it.  So I ask you, who got the better end of the deal in this marriage?   You could be Cruz and put on No Country just to watch acting at its finest or if you’re Bardem put on any Penelope Cruz movie for “other reasons.”  Lets just call it a win-win.
