The latest Lil Scrappy and Bambi rumors are disturbing indeed, though they also come with a huge grain of salt. According to a since-deleted Instagram post from Bambi, her recent hospitalization following an alleged split from former fiancé Scrappy came after unspecified domestic abuse. The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars are said to have called off their engagement last month; that decision resulted in a round of arguing, which is said to have spawned the domestic abuse in turn.
Bambi’s Instagram post has since been deleted, though you can check out a screengrab here. We managed to secure the photo’s caption:
These past few days have been so physically and emotionally painful. I wasn’t going to share this because it will be a joke to some but others will get it. I’ve been beating myself up trying to take care of other people and finally got that dramatic reminder that I need to chill and take care of myself. When God speaks to you and you know it’s him you better listen. I’ve been so hard-headed but I get it now. My family isn’t here but @bkluvsme and @rare_billions have definitely taken care of me, thank you. @malaysiainthecity makes me turn on FaceTime so she can watch me all day so I’m good. Though there’s no specific allegation regarding any domestic abuse in the original caption–and no mention of Scrappy at all–at least one high-profile tabloid interpreted Bambi’s words as a cry for help. The story then became that Scrappy was responsible for Bambi needing medical care in the wake of their alleged split last month.
It’s important to note that none of these allegations–the domestic abuse, the split, or the insinuations–have been backed up by any statements from Bambi or Scrappy, nor has anyone with firsthand knowledge of the situation come forward to talk about what’s been going down. The closest thing we’ve gotten so far was Scrappy’s rather displeased social media response:
It’s entirely possible that this whole situation has been a misunderstanding. And it’s *also* worth pointing out that Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 6 has been filming for months. So this could also be nothing more than two reality TV stars laying the foundation for their storyline.
LHHATL’s new episodes are expected to premiere in late February or early March, as soon as LHHNY Season 7’s two-part reunion airs.
