We exclusively revealed that 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Tiffany Smith was pregnant with her and husband Ronald Smith’s child back in May, and the couple has since welcomed their daughter Carley Rose Smith!
A rep for the couple confirmed the birth with People, revealing that Carley Rose was born on Wednesday, July 3 at 7:35 AM. Carley weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. at birth, and measured 19 inches.
Tiffany gave birth to Carley in the United States, but she does not explain why she returned from South Africa after getting married to Ronald and prior to giving birth. I assume her silence is due to her non-disclosure agreement with show producers and TLC. I am also guessing that the stateside return had something to do with insuring Carley’s U.S. citizenship?
Tiffany does reveal that her husband Ronald and mother-in-law Ria were on a video call during the birth. “When they put my baby on me, all of my pain was gone and all I felt was her warmth and the love and support of my family,” Tiffany tells People. “My mom, who held my hand through it all, and Ronald, who was on a video call with me from the moment I went into labor until childbirth.”
“And Ronald’s mom Ria, who was able to be on a video call as well, [got] to see the birth of her first grandchild,” she explains. “I feel so much love and joy inside. Everything was perfect.”
Tiffany shared some professional photos of baby Carley Rose taken by William Udy that also included Tiffany’s nine-year-old son Daniel and four-year-old sister Emily:

Tiffany talks with People about choosing the name Carley Rose. “We struggled every day trying to find a name we were in love with. From early on until three months before her arrival, her name was almost Camila! But then I would talk to my belly and it didn’t feel right,” she says.
“One day I called Ronald and told him I found a name I fell in love with and it made my heart so warm. He agreed he loved it. It just came to me out of nowhere, but it felt so right.”
Proud pop Ronald also shared a gallery of images that included maternity photos of Tiffany and LOTS of pics of little Carley!
Ronald included a lovely message for Tiffany, as well as Daniel and Carley:
I dreamt that you were mine, and then I woke up smiling because I realized it was not a dream. You are already mine!”You fill all the emptiness in my heart. I’m so thankful to have you in my life. I love you very much! You are that woman who transformed my imperfections into perfection just by the touch of your love. I think we can all assume from Tiffany and Ronald’s posts that they are still together, despite not being together physically.
