VIDEO 50 Cent modifies Ice Bucket Challenge, dares Floyd Mayweather to read one page of Harry Potter

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. were once business partners. Then, they had a falling out. Then, things got ugly–the bad blood between them has been simmering for some time.

Now, 50 has taken their beef and attempted to make something good come out of it…sort of.

The rapper has taken to his Instagram account to offer an Ice Bucket Challenge to Mayweather, who calls himself the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world.

Only, as the video below illustrates, the bucket of ice is not what 50 Cent really has in mind.

(WARNING: This video features some–ahem-strong language. It may or may not be safe for work, depending on whether your work involves headphones.)

Yes, that’s right. If Mayweather can read one page without, as 50 put it in the Instagram caption, “f****** it up,” the charity of Mayweather’s choice will receive $750,000. Not a bad deal for some lucky charity.

But that’s assuming Mayweather deigns to respond. This is a challenge clearly meant to humiliate him, and it’s not like he has a lot to gain–personally–by accepting.

We suggest he take the super high road and instead of reading one page, read an entire book. And not just a Harry Potter book, fun though those may be.

No–he should drop some Infinite Jest or Finnegans Wake on 50’s head. After all, nothing says “I’m not sweating the small stuff” like getting shoulder-deep into some of the densest literature of the last hundred years.
