VIDEO The Wanted perform “Gangnam Style” with Psy, do horse dance together

The Wanted Perform Gangnam Styl with Psy at the Avalon in Los Angeles prior to the VMAs

South Korean singer Psy exploded onto the world pop music stage with his mind-blowing viral music video for the song “Gangnam Style,” which has garnered well over 113 million page views in less than two months. The singer, whose real name is Park Jae Sang, is gearing up for Stage 2 of his inevitable world domination with a performance on the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards tonight.

But, never one to miss an opportunity for publicity, Psy has been making the rounds in Los Angeles since his arrival earlier this week. Last night he joined The Wanted on stage during their VMA pre-party performance at the Avalon. Band member Max George introduced Psy by saying to the crowd, “So, we have a really good friend that’s joining us tonight. He’s, uh, he’s from the East Side. He has the biggest amount of numbers of Youtube ever within one month. Now, you may know this, or you may not, but you’re going to see it. So, I’d like to welcome on stage, our friend Psy.”

“Let’s give it up for PSY!!!!!”

OMG! I nearly passed out at the 1:54 mark when they all began doing Psy’s famous horse dance together! (Sadly the person filming the event was a bit obsessed with Nathan Sykes so we miss a lot of Psy’s dance moves.)

And speaking of his famous horse dance, Psy gave a TMZ cameraman a horse dance tutorial on the streets of L.A. last night!

Dude is awesome!

Psy also gave a little insight into what the song “Gangnam Style” is about. “Gangnam is a certain territory in Korea which is some sort of like Beverly Hills or something like that — hot place,” Psy explains. “So daytime, noble place. Night time, crazy place. So the song means, at the similar at the spot — the girls, boys noble at daytime and getting crazy at night time.”

I hope that clarifies things. Or not. It completely doesn’t matter! The song (and the video) is what it is, and IT IS AWESOME! (Still haven’t seen it? Then click here and check out now!)

By the way, Psy has signed a record deal with Scooter Braun’s Schoolboy Records, part of Universal Republic. From EntertainmentWise.com:

“We’ve been hanging out in California for four days,” Braun, Justin Bieber’s manager, says in a video clip for the big announcement. “And we’ve come to an agreement to make some history together. [To] be the first Korean artist to break a big record in the United States.”

I can’t wait!
