South Korean K-pop singer PSY has achieved massive worldwide success, and in an interview with The Sunday Times PSY reveals that the party never stops for him, admitting that drinks so much that the only time he’s sober is when he’s hungover. The “Gangnam Style” singer even says that vodka is his best friend. He has a few other friends too: “whiskey, tequila, whatever.”
In the interview 35-year-old Psy also opens up about growing up with an abusive father, and his 2001 marijuana arrest. But he chalks up some of his more difficult life experiences to making him a better artist. “As an artist, the more experience, the better the creation,” he says. “I’m a very positive person. So if s–t happens, I think maybe this happens because a huge amount of happiness is coming to me.”
“If I’m happy, I’m drinking, if I’m sad, I’m drinking. If it’s raining, I’m drinking, if it’s sunny, I’m drinking. If it’s hot, I’m drinking, if it’s cold, I’m drinking,” he says. It’s Psy’s life, but all that booze can really start to take a toll.
