Voice winner Cassadee Pope’s new CMT show, Frame By Frame, premieres tonight
Cassadee Pope, season 3 winner of NBC’s The Voice, is moving networks for a new docu-series on CMT, Frame By Frame.
“Winning The Voice changed my life, but that was just the beginning. I decided to go back to my country roots,” she said in a preview clip. “I’m going to be documenting every single moment.”
The preview reveals some hard times for Cassadee, who hopes to become the first Voice alumni to achieve actual stardom.
“I think some people might have a skewed vision of what life is like after you win The Voice and they might think it’s more of an easy road, but I found that it’s harder,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “People want you to exceed their expectations even after seeing you on a TV show. They want you to be better than on the show and if you’re not, they don’t care about you.”
Watch the first episode of Frame By Frame, which was released ahead of the TV premiere on CMT’s website.
Cassadee’s music career previously got a boost when she performed her first single, “Wasting All These Tears,” on season 4 of The Voice. The song’s since earned more than two millions views on YouTube.
The CMT show is set to give her a similar boost before her freshman album — also titled Frame By Frame — drops on Oct. 8.
Frame By Frame premieres on CMT tonight at 10/9c.
