VIDEO Karlos Dansby recovers Aaron Freeman fumble for touchdown, Cardinals defeat Packers

Karlos Dansby returns a fumble for the Cardinals to defeat the Packers in the 2010 playoffs

Sunday’s NFC playoff match-up between the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers turned into an offensive shootout that found both teams knotted up at 45 points at the end of regulation after an astonishingly bad missed chip shot field goal by the normally reliable Neil Rackers of the Cardinals.

Green Bay won the coin toss and on the third play of overtime, not counting a play called back on a holding call, Aaron Rodgers was scrambling on a 3rd and 5 from his own 25 yard line when Arizona Cardinals cornerback Michael Adams (who had been scorched all day long in coverage) hit the Green Bay quarterback, causing him to fumble the ball. As the pigskin was falling to the ground and Rodgers was getting tackled, he managed to kick the ball into the air… right into the arms of Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby, who ran it back for the touchdown and the victory.

The game was the highest scoring game in NFL playoff with Arizona qb Kurt Warner tying his personal best by throwing five touchdowns while the Green Bay offense scored a touchdown with every possession they had in the second half. Unbelievable!

Not only did Karlos Dansby and Michael Adams win the ballgame for Arizona, I think they may have also saved the life of their kicker Neil Rackers, who most certainly wouldn’t have been able to get out of the University of Phoenix Stadium without at least being brutally beaten.

Here are a few highlights from the game thanks to Fox Sports:

And an interview with Karlos Dansby just after the game ended:

The Arizona Cardinals move on to play the scuffling New Orleans Saints in New Orleans on Saturday.
