VIDEO: Father Guido Sarducci discusses Glenn Beck on Colbert Report
Fox commentator Glenn Beck is planning a rally on the same day and location of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream Speech.” According to Beck, his moral fuel for fire has come from the Holy Roman Church. In an encounter at the Vatican, the home of the Pope and the center of the Roman Catholic universe, Glenn Beck had a clandestine run-in with a representative. Here is what Beck said about the prophetic meeting:
“I was in the Vatican and I was surprised that the individual I was speaking to even knew who I was and they said, ‘Of course we know who you are, what you’re doing is very important, we’re entering a period of great darkness.'”
Colbert claimed to have unearthed this unnamed source within the Papal palace and it was none other than SNL alum and chain smoking priest Father Guido Sarducci! Here is the news breaking video from Colbert’s candid sit-down with Father Sarducci:

Colbert: “But did you in fact say that his {Beck} work was wildly important?”
Sarducci: “Yes, but I didn’t know who he was. I thought he was somebody else. Jeff Beck, yes, he’s a great guitarist… his work IS wildly important.”
Colbert: “Do you think it’s possible that Glenn Beck could in fact be a prophet?”
Sarducci: “He could be. He talks alot. He hears voices and he’s unstable. That’s pretty much the whole package.
Glenn Beck’s planned Restoring Honor Rally will be held in Washington D.C. on August 28th. On his radio show here is what Beck had to say of the rally:
This is going to be an image for the history books. If you come, I believe this may — maybe in 100 years from now or 200 years from now — I believe this will be remembered as the moment America turned the corner.
I don’t know how it works out. I don’t know if it even works out in my lifetime, but I believe this is the pivot point. Be there with your children.
It’s 8-28 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, August 28th. I ask you to come. And I ask you to leave your signs at home. And I ask you to bring your children with you.
