Actor Michael Jace, best known for his role as Detective Lowe from The Shield, has been arrested for the shooting death of his wife, according to police.
40-year-old April Jace was found shot to death yesterday evening at the couple’s home in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, 50-year-old Michael Jace called 911 and told police, “I shot my wife.”
Michael Jace was taken into custody at the scene and has since been booked on suspicion of homicide.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the couple’s 2 children, both under the age of 10, witnessed the alleged shooting of their mom. They were said to have been taken to the police station and were then transferred via Child Protective Services to the home of a family member to be comforted.
According to IMDB, Jace also appeared in Forrest Gump and Boogie Nights.
