Teen Mom OG cast to attend the MTV Movie Awards
On the current season of Teen Mom OG, MTV has allowed the fact that the cast members are celebrities now to be a part of the show, and it appears that the network is now treating their Teen Mom stars as celebrities off screen as well by inviting them to attend the 2015 MTV Movie Awards!
The first indication that the cast might be hitting the red carpet,just like MTV’s other break-out reality stars from Jersey Shore have done so many times, was a tweet from Maci Bookout’s ex Ryan Edwards back on March 10. “Guess I better go shopping if im going to the MTV movie awards,” he wrote.
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports that Ryan will actually not be in attendance Sunday night, but most of the rest of the cast will be — as evidenced by their activity on social media today:

It appears that Maci Bookout, her fiance boyfriend Taylor McKinney, and Amber’s ex Gary Shirley will not be attending. According to sources for The Ashley, the cast was invited, but if they wanted to attend they had to pay for their own transportation to Los Angeles. Based on that I am going to assume they won’t have any sort of official role at the awards as presenters or part of a skit or anything. Although that doesn’t guarantee Amy Schumer won’t use the news that they are in attendance as an opportunity for a joke or two at their expense! That’s part of the price of admission! 😉
The 2015 MTV Movie Awards air Sunday night at 8/7c. (I will be able to tune in for an hour or so before I bail on the West Coast for Westeros and the Season 5 premiere of Game of Thrones at 9/8c!)
The Ashley reports that the Teen Mom 2 cast will not be in attendance, though it is interesting to note that at least three of the Teen Mom 2 moms are currently in big cities: Jenelle Evans is in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Kailyn Lowry is in Baltimore, and Leah Calvert is in Nashville. So, it could be easy for either of them to hop on a plane later today. Just sayin’! Well, actually, we all know which Teen Mom 2 star we REALLY want to see rockin’ the red carpet…
