On tonight’s reunion episode of Real Housewives of Orange County Tamra Judge updates host Andy Cohen and the audience about her husband Eddie Judge’s heart condition. So far Eddie has had seven procedures to help treat his heart problem and recently found out that he has probably had a heart condition for most of his life without realizing it.
The latest procedure went into a place in Eddie’s heart that usually isn’t gone into for someone his age, but thankfully the procedure has worked. He still needs one more procedure to close the hole left from that operation.
The heart condition Eddie has is called atrial fibrillation – and he’s actually lived with it for many years without knowing about it. A few months ago Tamra opened up to US about the constant worry she has now living with Eddie’s heart condition.
“I have to stay strong, but I’m super scared because I’m just afraid what if? What if? What if he has a heart attack? He has a stroke? All these things. Like the other day, he wouldn’t wake up,” Tamra said. “His alarm was going off and he was just laying there so peaceful. I’m like, ‘Eddie!’ And he was just laying there. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, he died!’ I’m like, ‘Eddie!’ Like that.”
Eddie has been on and off different heart medications and blood thinners and had multiple surgeries to address this issue. Here’s a snap Tamra shared of Eddie after one of his latest procedures:
Eddie shared the top Instagram post a month ago, showing himself and Tamra biking together so it looks like he’s now healthy enough to engage in the regular exercise he’s always loved.
