PHOTOS VIDEO Law & Order SVU Duggars episode ‘Patrimonial Burden’ preview

Law and Order SVU 19 Kids and Counting Bakers Dozen based on the Duggars

Earlier this month NBC announced that their popular crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit would be taking on the Josh Duggar molestation scandal in an upcoming episode titled “Patrimonial Burden.” Now we have the first preview video and promo photos from the episode, set to premiere November 4, including the characters based on Michelle Duggar, Jim Bob Duggar, and Josh Duggar!

The only synopsis we have for the episode is this one sentence from NBC: “When the 13-year-old daughter of a reality-TV family discovers she’s pregnant, the team investigates.”

Here’s the preview clip:

“One of the virgin daughters is knocked up,” Kelli Giddish’s character Detective Amanda Rollins says in the clip. She then adds, “There goes the TV show.”

Next, we see SVU‘s version of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Frank and Pam Baker — perhaps a reference to Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker? Pam says, “You see it as a crime. We see it as a blessing.”

I assume Pam is referencing the fact that their 13-year-old daughter is pregnant, but we won’t know for sure until we see the full episode.

And I am guessing this guy is the Josh Duggar character:

In the video we also see a brief glimpse of the Baker family’s tour bus with a 19 Kids & Counting inspired logo for their reality show Baker’s Dozen, except the B is created using a 1 and a 3 to make 13, so it’s 13aker’s Dozen:

That’s pretty damned brilliant NBC! (I recreated the logo for the photo at the top of this post.)

Here is a promotional photo from the episode featuring the Law and Order: SVU detectives unleashing some serious side eyes at a Baker family prayer circle:
