Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating and his wife of twelve years, Yvonne Connolly, announced they were splitting up yesterday. The former couple issued a statement saying that the split was “amicable” but reports are beginning to emerge that their separation was caused by Ronan Keating having an affair with one of the Boyzone tour dancers, Francine Cornell.

The infidelities reportedly occurred while Keating was on tour with Boyzone for extended periods of time. A source tells The Mirror, “It was during these nights away from home that he’s thought to have strayed. It’s a lonely existence being on tour with lots of late nights. Sadly, the temptation proved too much.” The source also states that there was never a doubt in Yvonne’s mind that the relationship was over:

“Yvonne was heartbroken but she made her mind up on the spot. The cracks were there already, but this was the final straw.

“She isn’t the sort of person to forgive and forget. Ronan has accepted her decision.”

The 26-year-old blond dancer is reportedly shopping her story around to the highest bidder. As of May 21 Gloria Allred is not yet involved.

Here is the full statement from the Keatings’ reps:

“With great sadness, Ronan and Yvonne Keating today announce their separation. The separation is amicable and they will continue to work together in order to provide the best for their children.”

Ronan, 33, and Yvonne, 36, have three children: Jack, 11, Marie, 9, and Ali, 4.

I found this resume for Francine online, which doesn’t appear to have been updated recently because the Boyzone tour is not listed. Francine Cornell’s Facebook profile as well as her modeling profile on OneModelPlace.com have been deleted.
