PHOTOS Beyonce’s hair goes from pixie to bob in seven days
Last week Beyonce shocked the world by posting several photos of her new, super-short blonde pixie hairstyle on instagram. But, as they almost say, “gone today hair tomorrow,” because the 31-year-old singer was photographed out having lunch with hubby Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy in Miami yesterday with a relatively lengthy reverse blunt bob! (“Reverse blunt bob?” Is that a hairstyle or a character from a Kevin Smith movie?)
Here’s a different view:
Anyways, Queen Bey was either wearing a wig or extensions, or else she has shelled out some of her Beyzillion dollars to develop a Ch-ch-chia inspired hair growth tonic!
In addition to the new look do, Beyonce was also sporting a gold metallic headband and matching gold-rimmed sunglasses, a revealing “Name Brand” tank top, striped shoes and a pair of super short denim cut-offs, which will probably be knee-length by next week. Here are some full-length shots in which you can see Beyonce’s entire ensemble as well as little Blue Ivy’s ballin’ stroller whip:
Beyonce’s pixie cut photos sparked a bit of a debate online last week as to just how long Beyonce’s real hair was prior to the short hair reveal. Beyonce’s long-time stylist (and star of We TV’s L.A. Hair), Kim Kimble, shed a little light on the matter when she told People, “She had great, thick long hair, which she cut off because she’s ready to make a statement.” She then added, “It’s a great [one] to make: I’m beautiful, sexy, bold and I can do it all. She’s the perfect model for that: A working woman, mom, superstar, businesswoman. She’s powerful in herself.”
Just like most of the world, Kim got a bit emotional when she saw Beyonce’s new look. “I got a little teary eyed!” she admits. “I’ve been working for her so long, she has this beautiful long hair and it’s hard to grow hair out. I feel like it’s my hair, I work so much with her. I feel a little emotional but excited for her too. Maybe I’ll cut my hair off now. Short hair, don’t care!”
I guess now it’s “Long hair in the front, short hair in the back, don’t care!”
