Poster ad for Keep A Child Alive stating "Kim Kardashian Is Dead" with her in a coffin

On December 1st, 2010 Kim Kardashian will die. Digitally anyway.

The bodaciously buxom and beautiful reality starlet will abandon all things interwebs beginning on World AIDS Day (December 1) as part of a fund raising event to support Alicia Keys’ ‘Keep A Child Alive’ campaign. Kim will be joined in the blackout by other celebrities including Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Ryan Seacrest, Elijah Wood, Katie Holmes, Swizz Beatz, Serena Williams, Willow Smith and Jayden Smith. There will be no tweets or Facebook updates by any of the people involved until the organization raises $1 million.

“It’s really exciting. No foundation has used the technology before like we are,” Alicia Keys, 29, tells The New York Times.

“You’re always texting your friends,” she says. “Now, you’re going to text to Buy Life.”

Kim Kardashian’s ad features her in a coffin wearing a provocative evening dress, creating the impression her glamorous life came to a sudden halt. The text underneath reads:

Kim sacrificed her digital life to give real life to millions of others affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. That means no more Facebook or Twitter until we buy her life back. Visit BuyLife.org or text “KIM” to “90999” to buy her life now.

From keepachildalive.org:

Keep a Child Alive (KCA) is dedicated to providing life-saving AIDS treatment, care and support services to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India by directly engaging the global public in the fight against AIDS. KCA currently funds 10 orphan care and clinical sites in India, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa.

Another way to support Alicia’s wonderful organization is to participate in their “Buy Life” bar code campaign. The site is offering bar coded t-shirts and a simple download for your smartphone that allows you to scan the barcode which makes a donation to the organization!
