Kim Kardashian’s hair color has dominated headlines for weeks. She gone blonde before, but in a much more subtle way, but this latest blonde ambition was pure platinum. “I’ve always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer, and I’ve been waiting a long time to try the look,” she said about the blonde hair. “I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week. It was a really last minute decision.”
Some speculated that maybe the blonde was a wig, but it definitely looked real, down to little flyaway hairs in many of her photos. Today, however, she suddenly switched back to a head full of healthy brunette hair. Was it a wig after all?
An insider close to Kim K’s “glam squad,” says the blonde was just an illusion. Part of her hair may have actually been bleached, but probably not all of it. “It’s a trick when talent doesn’t want to ruin their whole head of hair,” the source said. “It’s all illusion, like her life. She wanted to figure out a way to get a lot of attention in Paris. She’s always trying to steal the spotlight.”
