If the first Kim Kardashian weight loss update is accurate, it looks like the reality TV icon might not be hiding out at her mom’s house for long. Kim, who recently declared that she would stay in hiding at Kris Jenner’s place until she got her “svelte” figure back, claims to have already lost seventeen pounds since Saint West’s birth–and her goal weight is as ambitious as you’d expect.
Kim gave birth on December 5th, which means she’s lost over a pound per day–including Saint West himself, of course. In a recent update via her app, the mother of two tuned fans in to what’s been going on: between bites of pizza with Caitlyn Jenner, Kim said she went from 130 pounds to 190 during her most recent pregnancy.
“I almost died,” said Kim, describing how she felt about her weight. (Kim Kardashian fat shaming became something of a trend in 2015, following Kim’s appearance at the 2015 MTV VMAs.) She went on to say that her goal weight is 120 pounds, or just a touch below what she weighed when she and Kanye West tied the knot.

In related news, Kim has been eating her placenta in pill form and praising its benefits to the heavens. While some people “fry it like a steak,” Kim decided to go the pill route in order to avoid “the baby blues.” Kim cited anecdotal evidence from mothers of two who didn’t suffer postpartum depression after eating their placentas following the second birth.
“So,” concluded Kim, “I thought, why not try it? What do I have to lose?” The results? In addition to unrelated Kim Kardashian weight loss, Kim said “I had great results and felt so energized and didn’t have any signs of depression. I definitely had to do it again. Every time I take a pill, I feel a surge of energy and feel really healthy and good. I totally recommend it for anyone considering it!”
