The world has another Duggar! Joseph Duggar an,d his wife Kendra Duggar have welcomed their first child together: their son Garrett David.
Garrett was born on Friday, June 8, at 1:36 PM weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz., and measuring 20.5 inches long.
“No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families, there’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today!” Joseph and Kendra said in a statement posted to the family’s website. “Children truly are a gift from God. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and this new journey as parents.”

In addition to the first-time parents, many, many, many, many-time grandparents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar offered their by now almost monthly congratulatory message welcoming their newest grandchild:

Joseph and Kendra demonstrated some top-flight Duggar breeding efficiency, as little Garrett was born exactly nine months after the two married on September 8! The couple announced Kendra’s pregnancy on December 18, and revealed they were expecting a little boy in early February.
Oh, and if you were thinking the newest Duggar’s name sounded familiar, that’s because Garrett both is the name of Michelle’s dad and Joseph’s middle name.
Numerous fans have pointed out that Joseph and Kendra appear to be wearing hospital bands on their arms; it’s currently believed that Garrett was not a home delivery. I suppose we will know more when we see it all unfold when the new season of Counting On premieres on Monday, July 30th at 9/8c on TLC! Congratulations to Joseph and Kendra!
