MUG SHOT Man tried to shoot wife on Christmas Eve for spending too much time on Facebook
Harry Hibbs Jr., 51, of North Strabane, Pennsylvania, is accused of trying to kill his wife on Christmas Eve because he believed she spends too much time on Facebook.
Hibbs remains jailed on Tuesday because he’s unable to post the $500,000 bond set by the judge. While the reason behind Harry’s rage is a little silly the scene that went down at his home on Christmas Eve was a horrifying one. It is a Christmas miracle no one was seriously injured.
Police say there were two children in the home at the time and that Hibbs’ wife Anna was holding a two-year-old when she was pushed to the ground and hit over the head with a gun. Then Hibbs attempted to shoot his wife but the gun misfired. Mrs. Hibbs stated:
“He threatened to take my life. He said, ‘The only way you’re leaving here is in a body bag.'”
Here is a cap of Hibbs’ booking info via the Washington County Jail.
Thankfully, the cops were able to take Hibbs in without a standoff or struggle. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 4. Here is an image of Anna Hibbs that is part of a local news report filed by WPXI 11 out of Pittsburgh.
