Lindsay Lohan to be an inspirational speaker at schools after having an “epiphany”
Lindsay Lohan has moved back to NY to live with her mom (who wants her to get started having babies ASAP,) after a long string of financial, legal, career, and drug addiction issues that have gone on for years.
Her lawyer Mark Heller has now filed a motion asking her current probation violation case to be put on a “slow track,” as Lindsay works to make major changes in her life after experiencing an epiphany.
He says Lindsay needs the time to engage in “certain activities which will benefit her” and help her become and “productive and responsible…contributor to society.’
Heller spoke to E! News, saying that he expects Lindsay to appear in court with him Friday, because she is completely and totally committed to making positive steps with her life.
He says that she was “traumatized” by her time in jail, but that because of that she was able to see things more clearly and have an “epiphany.”
“This has happened to Lindsay. Considering all that this girl has been through…It has really traumatized her. When she was handcuffed and put into detention center with murderers and hardened criminals, it for sure had a great impact on her. And then being re-arrested and facing going back to jail caused her to have an epiphany. Some times the cumulative effect of everything in your life percolates and you have a realization and a clarity that things have to change.”
Here’s Lindsay’s plan to improve her life, according to her lawyer:
– intensive psychotherapy
– regular screenings
– contribute time to public-service messages and visits to schools, hospitals and other venues where she may provide inspirational talks, encouraging children to pursue positive goals and avoid bad habits
She also has plans, according to her attorney, to set up a Lindsay Lohan Foundation, a potential nonprofit organization with the goal to “benefit young people.”
Along with slowing down the probation violation case, Heller is also asking the dismissal of three misdemeanor charges from her June 2012 car crash.
“Frankly, I am focusing more now on what might be in her best interests in going forward in her life,” Heller told E! saying that she really wants to focus on cheering up sick young women in the hospital, and giving inspirational-yet-cautionary speeches in schools.
Do you think Lindsay’s finally going to make some major changes in her life? Do you think she’d make a good motivational school speaker?
