Kristin Davis displays classic beauty at Costume Designers Gala
Kristin Davis, best known for her role as Charlotte York on HBO’s game changing series Sex and the City, was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the 13th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards held yesterday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. When the perfect dress finds the perfect woman for just the right red carpet its a magical elixir that has stood the test of Hollywood time and this magic was on full display for Kristin as she exemplified “classic Hollywood glamour” in a monochrome white dress with black polka dots.
Davis proved that while shock value may be an easy attention grabber demure classic lines will always shine through in Tinseltown. Davis’ look was a perfect lead in for the upcoming ultimate red carpet event of the year, The Oscars. Here is an up close look at Davis as her simply stated hair only accented her wardrobe choice. Beautiful!
Here is another full length shot of Davis showing the younger set out there how its done. The waistline sash bow provided just the right amount of body balance and pop and blended perfectly with the ensemble’s two toned theme. I would be surprised to see many do it better at the previously mentioned Oscars.
While we may know her as the reserved and uppity Charlotte from SATC there’s another hypnotic web she’s woven for my young daughter as she does the voice over for Miss Spider from the very popular Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch animated children’s show! I have no problem with my little princess looking up to Kristin when she shines as bright as she did here.
And one more parting shot that accentuates the gown’s full breadth as Davis made her way from the staged photographers area to the ceremony. Kudos to Kristin for proving that you can be sexy and stunning while keeping what’s yours under fabric!
