Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off Dash Dolls announced by E!
America’s reality royal family continue to expand their empire as E! officially announced earlier today that they will be airing a Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off series focusing on DASH boutique employees titled Dash Dolls. The show will “follow the lives of the Kardashian sisters’ young, fun and hot employees as they navigate the hectic life of a twenty-something in Hollywood while representing the Kardashian brand.”
Fans of KUWTK (and Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons and Kourtney and Kim Take Miami) are probably familiar with the “DASH dolls,” which is the nickname for employees of the boutique, as they have been featured numerous times on those shows. Many speculated that the scenes with the young female employees was testing the waters for a spin-off, and it seems that speculation was correct. (Actually, E! previously announced the same exact series back in March of 2014. Perhaps this is a cast reboot?) Here is the full new announcement from E!
Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian made a mark on the fashion industry with the opening of their upscale DASH boutiques. Now viewers will have the opportunity to follow the lives of the Kardashian sisters’ young, fun and hot employees as they navigate the hectic life of a twenty-something in Hollywood while representing the Kardashian brand. This new generation of boutique girls takes on the glamorous lifestyle that comes with managing one of today’s most recognizable franchises, owned by three famous and often demanding bosses, while juggling romances, parties, family drama and other career aspirations. The new eight episode, one-hour series features Khloé Kardashian’s best friend Malika Haqq and her twin sister, Khadijah Haqq, and is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions and Ryan Seacrest Productions. Executive producers are Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins, Farnaz Farjam, Kris Jenner, Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian.
The announcement says the show “features Khloé Kardashian’s best friend Malika Haqq and her twin sister, Khadijah Haqq,” but I don’t think those two work at DASH, do they? At least I assume they aren’t “Dash dolls” in the sense that they work in the retail locations day to day.
So, I assume that the show will feature “actual” employees with Caroline Burt and Durrani Popal being my best guess for shoe-ins. You might recall Caroline Burt being hired during an episode of Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons. She is the daughter of a friend of Bruce Jenner’s and the decision was a bit drama-inducing as Bruce and Kris had just announced their divorce. Here is a clip in which it is revealed Caroline would be staying with Malika and Durrani:
Caroline is almost literally a Dash Doll in that this blonde bombshell is pretty much a living Barbie, complete with an amazing wardrobe. Check out this photo of her showing off her DJ skills looking quite wommannequin-like:
The Barbie identity appears to be something Caroline has a sense of humor about:
Don’t get me wrong, Caroline is GORGEOUS, and she certainly has her Instagram game on fleek! I could easily have assembled a magazine issue’s worth of amazing Caroline pics, but I narrowed it down to two:
Durrani Popal is also quite easy on the eyes, as you would imagine. Durrani studied Fashion Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco and also looks to be Instagram-ready for reality show stardom:
And is it just me, or does Durrani look like a Kardashian?!?
Still don’t see it? Try this one then:
I guess you would call that a Dashdollkadonk?
Here are Durrani and Caroline together in Las Vegas:
Another likely cast member is DASH boutique assistant manager Nazy Farnoosh. She is very high profile on the Boutique’s social media pages and is often interacting with Durrani and Caroline. Here they are together just one week ago — at least I’m pretty sure that’s Durrani in the middle:
And here’s a photo of just Nazy:
Dash Dolls will premiere on E! some time in the fall of 2015 and will be eight one-hour episodes.
