JWoww’s Maxim cover and interior photos drawing criticisms from fans

JWoww Maxim cover photo for January 2012 issue

When Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley found out she was going to be on the cover of Maxim for their January 2012 issue she was overjoyed. “I cried when I found out,” she says in an interview. “I was jumping up and down and totally bugging out. This is probably my highest accomplishment.”

But, that was before she actually saw the cover, which is drawing criticisms from JWoww detractors and fans alike, most of whom say the photo isn’t very flattering and doesn’t even really look like her.

JWoww from the neck down looks like what we’ve all become accustomed to, but I have to agree that from the neck up JWoww looks as though she showed up for the photo shoot an hour after passing out from an all-night drinking bender – but not in a good way. And the interior shots aren’t much better:

Let me be the first to say that I’m a big JWoww fan. As a matter of fact, I have admitted to my self-destructive admiration of her on many occasions, including my Ron Swanson/Tammy 2 post earlier today. That being said, I have to agree that these photos are a bit unflattering. By comparison check out this photo from JWoww’s last Maxim spread:

And when JWoww has the right make up and styling she can look downright elegant and beautiful:
