There were rumors that Jessica Simpson’s second pregnancy was negatively affecting her multi-million deal with Weight Watchers, but that’s not the case at all. One of the spots Jessica filmed in November for Weight Watchers includes an announcement that she’s expecting, and Weight Watchers released a statement that they will continue to work with Jessica.

A rep for Weight Watchers told ABC News:

“There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica. Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news.”

However, Jessica will not be following the WW program during her pregnancy to her second child. According to Weight Watchers:

“Simpson will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being is monitored by her obstetrician. After she gives birth, Simpson and her doctor will decide when she should resume following the Weight Watchers program.”

Jessica addresses her pregnancy in the commercial in this video, which introduces Weight Watchers 360 program: “Being healthy has become a part of who I am, which is great timing, because I’m having another baby!”

When Jessica announces her pregnancy in the commercial, a disclaimer appears at the bottom:
“Pregnant women are not eligible to join Weight Watchers. Jessica has stopped following the plan and intends to return after she gives birth.”

While it seems like Weight Watchers should have some sort of healthy plan for expectant mothers, it would probably be a huge liability because every pregnancy is different.
