Giuliana Rancic is leaving E! News
Giuliana Rancic is leaving the anchor role at E! News next month, the network announced last night. Giuliana added in a statement the transition will be bittersweet.
“For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of E! News and will miss my family at the show,” Giuliana said. “At the same time, I am excited to not only continue as host of two major franchises on E! but also executive produce the aspirational new show Rich in Faith for Oxygen as well as take my wine and clothing lines to the next level.”
She will continue hosting Live From the Red Carpet and the embattled Fashion Police.
E! general manager Adam Stotsky said Giuliana’s daily presence will be missed. He noted, “During her time here, Giuliana played an instrumental role in building E! News into a global entertainment news powerhouse.”
Wrapping up her statement, Giuliana suggested the decision to leave was entirely her own — not something related to fallout from her comments on Fashion Police after the Oscars. She concluded, “This is such a thrilling time for me and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life.”
She and husband Bill Rancic have planned for years to make Chicago their home base, but Giuliana’s E! News job was a barrier.
