Dunder Mifflin is a real paper brand now!
If you’re like me, the one thing in your life, before now, less-than-perfect was not being able to buy printer paper from the fictional middle-man paper supply company Dunder Mifflin from NBC’s The Office. Now you can, so there’s nothing else to want from life.
Quill.com teamed up with NBC to sell copy paper stamped with the Dunder Mifflin logo. The packaging also includes Dunder Mifflin slogans “Limitless paper in a paperless world” and “Quabity First.” Forget silly T-Shirts, bobbleheads, and buttons, THIS is the product to get a fan of The Office this Christmas.
To help promote the paper, Dunder Mifflin “paper trucks” will distribute free paper in New York, LA, and Chicago December 13-15. You can track where the trucks are through their Twitter page @dmpapertruck.
Kim Niemi, senior vice president, NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group said of the paper adventure: “At first blush you may think this was obvious; licensing paper to a paper company, but really it was quite ingenious. Now, the fans of ‘The Office’ can finally get the authentic paper that Dunder Mifflin sells every day.” Too bad they didn’t go with this product tie-in gimick while Steve Carell’s Michael Scott was still around. It’s sad to see the DM team selling paper without Michael Scott’s eager face.
