PHOTOS Duck Dynasty Martin’s mystery date/girlfriend Brittany Brugman
This week’s episode of Duck Dynasty featured Duck Commander duck call room regular and Robertson brother-by-another-mother, Martin. The way the show pitched Martin’s situation, Martin had only had one date as long as Willie had known him (the same number of times Willie had gone to ballroom dancing lessons with Korie), and the Robertson girls made it their business to give him a make-over to improve his chances with the mysterious “Brittany,” who he was planning to take out to dinner.
But, it looks like that’s not an exactly accurate depiction of Martin and Brittany’s “relationship status.” Just a tiny bit of social media research led me to Brittany Brugman’s Twitter account, and a treasure trove of photos of her with her main squeeze, our guy, Martin. Photos on Martin’s Twitter account seemed to tell the same story. These folks couldn’t be more “internet official” if they double dated with Mark Zuckerberg!
It’s worth noting that Martin is sticking to the storyline of the show. Here’s a tweet from the night “So You Think You Can Date” first aired. Martin’s wearing the shirt that Korie and Missy picked out for him, and he’s calling it a shot of their first date. Fair enough.

But, Brittany’s photos with Martin seem to go back farther than they should if the episode lined up with their first date:

It’s really this next adorable photo of Martin and Brittany from October 22, 2012 that really seems to debunk the “first date” storyline, unless Brittany was always “clingy” — even when they were just friends 😉
You know what, though? Who cares? So, the Duck Dynasty folks compressed the timeline of Martin and Brittany’s romance a bit to make the story a little tighter (and to show us Martin’s mustard and sock hoarding habits). So what. This is one adorable couple, and they appear to have great chemistry. I, for one, hope the whole episode was a ploy to introduce Brittany on the show. I’d love to see them in action together on screen!
