60-year-old Brenda Drinkwater from Arlington, Massachusetts was arrested for Operating Under the Influence on Monday when she was stopped by police after driving the wrong way through town.
Police Chief Frederick Ryan witnessed Drinkwater’s wrong-way ride as “another man was driving behind Drinkwater repeatedly honking his horn and yelling at her to stop.” During the drive, Ryan reported that vehicles were forced off the road in order to avoid a collision with Drinkwater.
When asked to provide her license and registration, Drinkwater instead produced a credit card and a receipt for the purchase of liquor. Ryan then spotted an empty bottle of vodka in Drinkwater’s passenger seat and could detect the odor of alcohol on Drinkwater’s breath.
This all resulted in Drinkwater’s 7th arrest for OUI according to the Arlington Patch.
