Ashton Kutcher to play Steve Jobs in Joshua Michael Stern film “Jobs”
Director Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) will be at the helm of what will surely be one of the most anticipated and publicized independent films of the next couple years as he tackles the life of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in the biopic Jobs. The project, which is scheduled to begin shooting in May, has just named its lead actor, and no, it’s not Meryl Streep. It’s none other than Punk’d, That ’70s Show, and Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher!
I was skeptical when I first heard the announcement via Variety, but as they point out, Kutcher has delivered recently in serious roles in such films as David Mackenzie’s sex dramedy Spread and Emilio Estevez’s historical drama Bobby. Plus, there is NO DENYING he is a spitting image for the young Steve Jobs of the 1970s, which is the period of his life to be depicted in the film. Here are side-by-side photos of Ashton Kutcher and Steve jobs to show you what I mean:
So what do you think about the choice of Ashton Kutcher as one of the most brilliant and influential men in recent world history? Can we expect to see Seth Rogen as Warren Buffet next?
While you ponder that, here’s the full Monty of Steve Jobs looking like the young lover of Demi Moore back in a time when Demi would have actually been the old lover by seven years:
