ALASKA THE LAST FRONTIER Jewel is taking the Kilcher family on tour for the holidays

Atz Kilcher and Jewel 2

It looks like Jewel Kilcher, already doubling down on her camera time for Alaska The Last Frontier Season 7, is ready to take her famous family out on the road. For the first time ever, the Kilcher family is hitting the road together: that means Atz Kilcher and Jewel; plus her brothers, Atz Lee and Nikos, will all be holding court with song. (And probably some fun family banter and behind-the-scenes stories as well.)

The Handmade Holiday Tour is Jewel’s opportunity to “share some of the traditions I was raised with in Alaska on our family homestead,” she said via press release. Sponsored by Zappos, the four-week jaunt looks to offer quite a bit more than music; given the season, fans will be able to partake of “a unique and interactive gifting experience offering guests the chance to make handmade one of a kind holiday gifts.”

Jewel went into more detail about the “gifting experience” in a People feature, explaining it thusly:

I decided to start this annual Handmade Holiday Tour to create an antidote to the stress and overwhelm I am seeing in culture, and to help us focus on the simple pleasures that make us feel satisfied and truly happy. My Handmade Holiday Tour is designed to provide experiences that friends and families alike can use to connect and make meaningful gifts and most importantly memories to share for a lifetime….Holidays don’t need to be about expensive gifts and lavish parties, often it’s the little gifts, gestures and moments that you remember most over the years and I want to bring that simplicity of feel-good giving back to the holidays with this tour.

Finally, in the spirit of goodwill, each show will sponsor 25 in-need individuals and families, and “offer vouchers for the gift-making workshops to ensure [the 25] have a handmade gift for the holidays.” (It looks like attendees will also be able to donate money.) Basically, if you’re a fan of Alaska: The Last Frontier or Jewel’s music or both, this tour is your best-ever chance to bask in the feel-good vibes of Atz Kilcher and Jewel and the Kilcher family at large.

You can purchase tickets for the tour on Jewel’s official site here.
