Although Taylor Swift skirted around specific identifying details about the female singer who is targeted in her upcoming Bad Blood diss track, the evidence she did provide pointed directly to Katy Perry.
Clue No. 1 Taylor told Rolling Stone she wasn’t “sure if we were friends or not” for years and that the women would always greet each other at awards shows. Taylor and Katy dined together in 2009 (pictured at top) and were regularly seen chatting at awards shows.
Clue No. 2 Taylor said the other person crossed into unforgivable territory last year when “she basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour” by “hiring a bunch of people out from under me.” It’s well-documented that three dancers left Taylor’s Red tour to work with Katy. One of them, Lockhart Brownlie, later twisted the knife in Taylor’s back by saying working with Katy was better.
“We weren’t really dancing in Taylor’s tour anyway,” he told Australia’s The Examiner in 2013. “I had got a little bored and I really wanted to do a promo tour.”
Clue No. 3 When pressed by the Rolling Stone interviewer, Taylor admitted there was also a “personal problem” conflict at play. And what’s more of a personal problem than dating someone’s ex-boyfriend?
Apparently Katy also put two and two together because she just tweeted what seems to be a warning to others about Taylor.
