The Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel custody battle is finally over

Bethenny Frankel Jason Hoppy Bryn custody battle over

The very vicious and very public custody battle between Bethenny Frankel and estranged husband Jason Hoppy has finally been settled. Jason’s attorney Bernard Clair released a statement earlier today saying “My client is delighted that this custody battle has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties’ child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high-profile courtroom battle.”

The announcement appears to be a victory for Jason, 42, as Bethenny, 43, had sued for full custody of their four-year-old daughter, Bryn. Sources close to the couple tell The Post that “Hoppy won equal time with and decision-making authority” for Bryn.

The settlement announcement comes not long after more shocking details emerged in court about the couple’s vitriolic split, including Bethenny’s admission to calling Jason “white trash” and threatening to prevent him from seeing Bryn. She also alleged Jason had vowed to “destroy” her and that he “would pee and poop and leave it in the toilet.”

The timing works out relatively well for Bethenny, as she was scheduled to be cross-examined by Jason’s attorney next week.

Despite the animosity in court and leading up to the decision, according to Jason’s attorney, he has nothing but well wishes for Bethenny. “Jason wishes Bethenny only the best of luck, and he looks forward to sharing with her all of the joyous occasions, milestones and blessings that will be coming up in his daughter’s future.”

Although the custody battle is apparently behind them, the couple still have to figure out what is to happen to Frankel’s estimated $55 million Skinnygirl (and more) fortune.
